A nice try to summarize the VGT4AFRICA project in one sentence could be:
“Distribution of VEGETATION data in Africa through EUMETCast”
Where
- Distribution means broadcasting by a telecommunication satellite
- VEGETATION data means all advanced products derived from the VEGETATION instrument onboard the SPOT satellites.
- In Africa means to the PUMA Network of Meteorological Station which are built up in every African country
- Through EUMETCast means through the EUMETCast telecommunication system of EUMETSAT.
In an attempt to be even more compact and to summarize the project in one word we found it’s name: VGT4AFRICA
