To start off and close of the project, VITO as coordinator organized:

• a project Kick-Off meeting at the IOC-UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France in May 2008
• a final project meeting in Antwerp, Belgium in Sept 2011

For project coordination purposes, around 20 teleconferences, Skype and Centra sessions were organized, with various partners participating.

To raise awareness and promote the use GEONETCast and the project′s efforts, the team co-organized and participated in a large number of workshops, conferences, forums and other international events with users, including:

• international conferences such as AARSE and SBMET,
• GEO events, notably the Plenary and Ministerial summits
• meetings of EU projects contributing to GEO,
• and EUMETSAT and EUMETCast user forums and network meetings.

These are separate and in addition to the series of international and virtual training workshops that are listed in Capacity Building.
